Sky + to DVD Recorder

    Ok so my boss asked me the question today:

    "I record from my sky + box to dvd recorder and it says it records at 8x speed, yet it records at the same pace as the tv show being recorded, so if a show is 30 mins long it takes 30 mins to record to the dvd "

    Question is I suppose should it record faster from Sky + box to DVD recorder?

    No, it cannot record from Sky+ any faster, unfortunately.
