Just a quick word fo thanks to Dave Joyce and young Ross for hosting an outstanding weekend, that raised a lot of money for the orphanes of Thailand. This was the first time outside of Thailand,in this arts history .That a seminar has been done in this ancient style of Thai arts, thats blood line and history are directly linked with the Tiger King.Khru Stan and assistant Khru Ric & Zippie done an outstanding job on opening up this art to Ireland of all places. So once again thank you to Khru Dave Joyce and my baby bro Ross, for helping us out.The lads will be back again in the new year.....I will post some photos,as soon as I get them. Thanks J

Could you give me a bit more info on this event? Sounds interesting...

If you go to www.buddhaslostchildren.com you will see my friends teacher Pa Khru Bar ,who is an Abbot Monk "Do Paw" who helps orphanes on the Thai/Burma area. This Khru has taken my two friends on as his only students from the West and they with a little help from myself, are helping to teach real Muay thai.Firstly from the Dances, then the fighting aspects both military and sport. This is a complete system,as both medicine and weapons are all part of the same art.The lineage of this art goes back to King Naresuan the Great and is a pleasure to watch.Khru Stan and his assistant Khru Ric will be comen back to Ireland to do courses in Galway,Belfast and fingers crossed Dublin. As Muay Thai is always being linked with MMA now and to be honest they have there own ground fighting any way,its just very few people get to see it.The Thais art is complete both on the ground,upright,1 on 1,or 1 v's many.So keep an eye on boards for more info but please have a look at buddhaslostchildren.........in will be in the cinema soon. Also every penny raised goes directly to the orphanes,we pay for our own flight's food and transport. Thanks for the interest...........J

Havent a clue to be honest, dont know Tony Jaa but by the looks of it he stuyed a lot of gymnastics and it looks good in films.I know a guy who studyed under one of the Tony Jaa's coachs but he didnt show me any stuff,so i couldnt honestly say. What I can say is I've studyed Thai'ish stuff for 15yrs and I've never saw anything this good or this deep in knowledge or as complete either.I really think its worth a serious look at and at the end of the day,if it aint your thing.........then its £35 not wasted,as it goes to those with nothing. All the best J

Well we should be bringen the lads over to Ireland again,Belfast with Khru Frank Mc Conville and back to Galway with Khru Dave Joyce.I'm in Dublin this weekend to pick up my Kettlebell shipment and meet up with an other teacher of Muay Thai, based in Dublin. At the moment we are waiting to see when Pa Khru Bars son finishes his national service in the Thai Army ( 30-0-0 with 30 K.Os ) and to bring him over to Ireland too but at the moment,it looks like Jan,Feb and March at the end of each month there will be a fund raisen event for the orphanes in Galway,Belfast and Dublin.Focusing on teaching the real nature of Muay Thai, that the dances come first........that the whole art is in the dances.Same as the arts of indonesia as in the Kembangen but thats an other story for an other time.So stay tuned...all the best J

For anyone whose interested in things Siam, this was a fantastic seminar with two geniunely enthusiastic guys (Kru Stan and Kru Richard, and obviously Jason who set the wheels in motion) who have a great love for the art. As Jay has said, there will be opportunities to train in Dublin as well as Belfast and Galway in the future and I would strongly advise interested parties to have a look. You're also doing your own karma no harm as its all for an excellant cause, the great and selfless work that Pa Kru Ba is doing for the orphans in the Golden Triangle. Go see the movie when its released here and you can see for yourself the great work he has accomplished.

Thanks to Dave,to be honest if you knew what what was been done to the hill tribes of the Thai/Burma boarder and especially what was been done to children by the drug lords,it would bring a growen man to his kness 'n' tears.Pa Khru Bar's ( Do-paw one 'n' the same ) nephew Zippie, lives in London with myself,Ric and Stan.......basicly we are ready to come back to Ireland and teach this great art.The lads should be off to Thailand middle of next month,to work out there and be taught too,as well as pass on the funds raised. The £1000 will take care of the complete running costs for the whole orphange for a month,so its just outstanding..................J
