The poor horse in the second one! He's got that panicked look to his eye.

You're really building a great body of work baz - congrats. :)

You've really broadened the inner city dublin angle you were working on. It's given you some great shots, well done.

Barry you have the makings of a brilliant book about the heart of Dublin. I really admire the pictures and risk you are taking with this body of work.

Love the first one, would have been complete if he was wearing a burberry cap (then again it would be a bitch to slap a Sub Woofer on a horse as well :D).

On the way home , i took this on O'Connell bridge , like something from Afghanistan, not modern Ireland , heart of our city

Good stuff as usual Barry. Like the first one - the mist/haze maybe gives it a little too much brightness - you could pull it back a little. whadoyathink?

second one is good but have you thought of maybe cropping it into portrait format. i think it would make it look cool. mind you as it stands you have rule of third thing (intentional or accidental) going on.

BTW - Love the way your exhibition set is coming on (most of my fav's are in there!)

LOL you can nearly see him throwing shapes on the horse. Man you're going to have a tough job whittling those down :)

    Whens the exhibition...might pop along.

I have gone down to Smithfield a few times and it is heart wrenching to see horses treated so badly and passed around like a PS2 game between people, such beautiful animals so many bad owners. I do realise that there are wealthy people who treat their horses badly and have seen them first hand but Smithfield takes the biscuit. Lovely shots Barry but subject matter makes me angry..

Have to admit I haven't been to Smithsfield since I was a kid. Couldn't face it again after the first time. I really admire your shots (and bravery!)Barry, I check your Flickr every time you post new shots here. I shudder to think of that particular market though.
