It's highly likely though....although quicker blind structure should fish the "hanger on" out...

It was an amatuer mistake not to offer a deal. I didn't refuse. The Padraig Harrington of Poker lives on. Have finished 2nd in between 10-15 tournaments in last 7/8 months...but I'm learning. eh I'm not that bad. I'm willing to admit that I gave up a 3:1 lead and lost, but at 10:1 I'm invincible. I had about 290,000 vs 100,000 (If i'm right there was 392,000 in play on the day)

Is this on upstairs in the club? How many runners expected? Starting stack? Blinds? Cash games on offer or just sng's?

Yeah, upstairs in The Club. Registration from 7pm. This is a new event, so unfortunately I've no idea of the numbers.

€60 (50 + 10) Starting stack is 3K + 500 for early bird. There are 3K chips for your double chance (at no extra cost). Blinds are 25-50 etc. 15 minute clock. No cash games, as these are illegal however sit n' go (short tourney style) from about 9.30 - just €20 + €2 reg.

    hope to see you there,

    Cheers,

    John.

Played this last night, was by a mile the best run pub game I've ever played. Standard varied but it was certainly enjoyable. Hopefully it'll get the runners it deserves if it becomes a regular tourney.

Many thanks to all who took part last night. Rory Keogh and Brian Drennan split the top prize and then played it out, Brian winning overall. The dealers Mark and Cormac did a top job. And a big thanks to Dave and Ciaran in The Club.

Hope to see you all again soon...:)

Cheers Rory, well done on your win. Finally your pace setting has worked out...lol... and that nasty table image last night worked in your favour. I think at one stage you had 3 out of 5 players on the final table on tilt.

That wasn't his missus, it's his mistress....lol. I suspect that this posting was either Dave Walsh or Brian Murphy so bad beat stories are all you EVER talk about. Rory also went on to win, so maybe folk had a little pity for all the bad beats.....

Grand. numbers were slightly down on last time because of Bank holiday w/end. Heard you didn't do too badly yourself in Bugler's..

Congratulations to Aindrias Hennessy, who won the main event in Dalkey last night. Great comeback and very well played...

Rory, Carl and Gary each took money on the side-tables.

Yeah 3rd, Lost the tournament hand with AJo V's A6 with flop As Ks Ts turn Blank River 5s. and of course he had the 6 of spades no luck for me. 95% of the chips in the middle.

Good game, 30 runners and some of the regular lads were off playing other games.

Ohh **** one. happened to Gary in Bolands last Thursday to knock him out - AK v A3 - 3 was a heart and fifth street gave Harry the flush.

BM was the only regular down in Dalkey... No other regular Bugler's players down there

If so is there a schedual anywhere? For some reason I am picking up a nice vibe off your tournies and am interested....

    I wear L plates though!

Everyone has to wear L plates at some time..;)

Bugler's in Ballyboden/Knocklyon is on every Monday and is run by Poker Events who are good friends of mine. Starts at 8, €30 re-buy (1 only)...great tournament. I run a tournament for them in McKenna's in Dun Laoghaire every Thursday at 8pm. Structure is about to change there so there's no point telling you here.

You're looking at a post for Poker Jacks €60 Double Chance Freezout which is on in Dalkey Bi-Weekly...next one being the 12th of November.

    Hey John,

I know this is off topic for your Dalkey game but I think you should incease McKennas to €15 Rebuy. The game last night was great craic before the break and some class donkey play with everyone trying to build up their stacks. Plenty of chips after the break. One thing is the final prize pool was low due to the fact most people didn't need to use their second rebuy.

To increase the pool either increase the buyin or reduce the chip stacks (more buyins). I think the first is better.

RE: Poker Events' Weekly €10 +5 Multi Re-Buy, Thursdays McKenna's Dun Laoghaire.

Ok Stephen, thanks. Maybe something similar to the Emporium's Friday re-buy chip structure would be better. The problem down in McKenna's is the affordability for the "core" locals. Thats why we've reduced the buy in. The new structure still affords a dealer at each table. But you're right about increasing the pot. I might ask Seán to start a separate thread re McKenna's etc..
