    Hi

I have been to 7 weddings in the last year (yes 7 I know it’s a lot) but I have just noticed in the last few that I have been sitting under the same station of the cross the one were Jesus falls for the first time. I’m a Christian and do believe in God but I don’t go to church and don’t agree with all the church is telling us. I'm just wondering if someone is trying to tell me something has anyone got any ideas

[spoiler: this is not a response from a christian point of view]

I think you're just experiencing being human, I'm afraid. We have a habit of noticing "coincidences" such as what you described. But, if you have your wits about you, noticing such a coincidence is basically inevitable. I mean, think of all the other apparently "meaningful" permutations of the stations of the cross which you could have been sitting beside, but weren't. Or unexpectedly meeting the same person at each wedding.

I'm afraid I think blind luck is the best explanation.

From a non Christian Point of View.

I have a rule of thumb about these things...

Once is an accident, Twice is a Co incidence... 3 Times is where i start thinking about "other" answers.

When you say "Church" i am going to assume you mean Roman Catholic. As i am sure many of the Christians who frequent these boards will tell you, There is more than one type of Chrisitanity. Maybe you would consider checking them out since you have some issues with RC. Maybe you'll find something more that feels right with another flavour of christianity. Go with your instincts on it.

Although from a personal point of view..

7 Weddings in a year? I'd be more thinking that you are being told to get off your ass and get married! ;)

From a Christian point ov view

I think it's coincidence abour where you have sat.

However, because you even bring up the question, God is calling you back. He wants you to come to Him and be refreshed.

I am in agreement with Agent J, Catholocism is not th eonly Christian church. They offer a particular style of worship and also a few other beliefs that you may not find at another church.

Go shopping on Sunday mornings, try some other churches, until you find one where your feels most comfortable and where the teaching is biblically based.

If we can help you find that church, let us know via a Private message and we'll hook you up.

    Blessings
