Hi all, hope someone can help me with this......

After years of running a PC with Windows XP, I recently bought another one for internet convenience and general family use in the kitchen. It came with Windows Vista Home Basic. After a few days experimentation I came to the conclusion that Vista is shyte.

    <Snip> [please read the charter ;) /CM]

When I tried requesting an on-line purchase of Windows XP home, all Microsoft seem to want me to do is purchase Vista. I DON'T WANT BLOODY VISTA !!!

I don't really want to go back to where I purchased the PC (PC World) and tell them I've formatted the hard disk. I had a look round my local PC World store in Liffey Valley and they don't sell XP in a box any more - everything is Vista, Vista, Vista.

I'm just not sure about buying something off the likes of eBay, knowing my luck it'll be a pirate version or something. I'd rather buy a genuine, trustworthy product.

At this stage I'm open to ideas, so if anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated. Cheers.
