These are some photos of some clouds above my city. I am up on a hill, above almost everything else, so you can get some awesome shots when the clouds are low. Here they are...

I'm just an amateur so take my comments with a grain of salt ;) :

I think no.2 has the best composition of the lot.

No.1 has a distracting railing in the foreground and no.3 hasn't anything in particular to focus on.

It just seems to me that the colours are really muted - perhaps you could try boosting contrast and saturation a bit?

For the second picture maybe you could have taken two photos - one exposing for the sky and another for the trees (or use a graduated ND filter).

Looks like you live in a lovely city - where is it?

Thanks for sharing your photos :)

Thanks for all the advice! However, you won't find it as lovely when I tell you it's in Tasmania! It is a place called Devonport. It's only small, but I've always been here. It is commonly referred to as 'the hole', but I love it. The air is so fresh and the water's so clear. It is picture perfect!

go with number 2 but i agree with thirdfox re: the colours. Try bumping the saturation a little. you appear to have gotten some of the sky blown out where the sun is coming up so i'm not sure will it work overall but worth a try maybe. Keep an eye out - at that location for the future you will have great opportunities for these kind of shots. Cheers.
