Just wondering if anyone has used this ?

Was buying some Promax Diet at the shop in the gym (looking to continue lose fat and gain muscle) and guy in gym said that this Methoxy stuff was brilliant at building lean muscle.

Thanks for that amazing insight there Hanley !

What I really want to know is if anyone has used this product as from my experience some of Maximuscles products are severely over-hyped (I find their promax range good).

Stuff like that might give you an extra helping hand if you're absolutely at the peak of what you can be. I wouldn't imagine it's of much use to the average punter. I could be wrong, but if I am than it's along the lines a miracle cure. And I think if it was, you wouldn't be hearing about it here. Save your money, eat well, work hard, supplement when you have to.

Its about all you'll get from him. I suppose at least he's not attacking you.

Ah yes, the person who never posts comes on to attack the person who gives advice in other threads to people who have questions that will actually have an effect on their training.

I just had a quick look at the Maximuscle site and the description of the product. The active ingredient of the Methoxy Max is methoxyflavone, a non-hormonal anabolic. It's the same active ingredient that's used in Biotest Methoxy-7 and the complimentary se7en aimed at women. Like you said, the product is supposed to help lean muscle gains (meaning muscle gain without adding fat).

Load of rubbish tbh though. There's a few interesting animal studies about it, but no real-world stuff. A quick Google on the active ingredient will tell you the general concensus is that it's over-hyped and overpriced. To get the kind of results these companies promise requires damn hard balls-to-the-walls work and a good diet. Save your money and renew your gym membership instead ;)

So my question wasn't worthy of your advice then Hanley ??

Thanks for your answer davyjose and gem, I'll just stick to the promax diet for the moment so !

Slemons, if you have any issue with a poster or the content of their posts then go through the appropriate channels.

Just so you both know this ends here or i'll just ban you both.

    Makes no difference to me.

My point is this, people are too quick to reach for crutches to support a poor diet or training regime.

In this thread we have something reputed to put on "lean muscle", in another someone asked about the tea Victoria Beckham drinks in the hope it will make her skinny too, we've all seen the numerous lipotrim threads recently.

If the ONE thing that is preventing you from contiuning to build muscle or lean out is not having a certain supplement then by all means try it. But be honest with yourself for a second, are you training optimally? How's your nutrition? Are you sleeping enough?

If you can't say that all of the above are at the neccessary level, buying some Maximucsle product because some guy in a shop (Who's job it is to sell it to you) says it's great for lean muscle, then you are just fooling yourself.

This Methoxy Max or whatever the hell it's called is not going to do anything for you that better nutrition or sounder and harder training won't.

It really is as simple as that. No arrogance, no bullsh!t.

By lean muscle I meant adding muscle without adding fat at the same time, so not bulking up.

I think the fact that I am going to a gym regualrly and losing weight sets my question apart from someone looking for a tea to make them skinny or a liquid only diet that gives you dramatic weight lose.
