Mother board issue

    Hi All,
    Have an issue with my Auntie's pc/

    It s about two years old IQon pc.
    Thats all I can tell ya at the moment cause it wont power up.

    Well the original problem was the power switch, when I pressed it nothing would happen. So I got a spare and tried that and it powered on.

    CPU fan and air duct fan come on constant and the led's for the power, network and cd rom come on but there s no display on the monitor, not even BIOS. No beeps to indicate a problem.

    On board graphics, tried taken out the CMOS batt for a minute but no effect.

    Any ideas would be great!

    Took the memory out to see if I got some beeps but nothing.

    Just powers on, fans going and thats it.

    Well no memory with no beeps would suggest to me it s not the display thats the problem but the motherbord been ****ed!!!

    Would I be correct in saying that??

    Look for a small round speaker attached to the motherboard. If there is no speaker, dunno. If there is, and you're not getting any beeps, could be fairly bad.
