    hey

is anyone here a member of this club?

is it any good-do they provide coaching or subsidise you getting coaching anywhere else?

just seeing if its worthwhile joining or not.im a beginner if that makes any difference

    thanks

The ECSC doesn't provide coaching but can recommend places for you to go (any that are listed on the Irish Surfing Association website). We have almost 160 members but we are mainly a more 'social' club with club trips on bank holidays and the more ad hoc trips every other weekend. It's a great way to hook up with some other surfers if none of your friends are into it. We have boards available for use by members if they are still trying to decide whether to get more into the surfing or not, also use of a travel bag for those trips abroad. There are all levels of experience in the club, from beginners to advanced so there's always someone around of the same level as you.

Have a look at http://www.eastcoastsurfclub.com for details on our next social and also details of the club meeting which is held on the first monday of every month.

The Cavey Cup comp that we hold on the east coast is open to club members only I'm afraid. It will probably be held within the next week or two depending on conditions and is a very relaxed informal kind of comp. Our next club meeting is next Monday (5th Nov) if you'd like to come along and join up ;)

Most I think would be mid to late 20's and 30's.
