Lads Ski Trip Destination Recommendations please

    Myself and approx 5-8 other lads want to plan a ski trip for probably the beginning of January. We are trying to work out a good destination to go. We want to keep it reasonably cheap under 1k each if possible (excluding spending money).

    Most of us have skied before, but some are beginners. I suppose number one priority is picking a resort/destination that would be great for 10 guys on the tear - a good night-life etc, rather than the best possible selection of slopes etc.

    Can anyone recommend where to start looking? I hear Bulgaria is the cheapest place to go - someone else suggested Lillehammer in Norway.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Hi,

    Getting a holiday under 1000K excluding spending money is no problem.

    I would say go to Livigno in Italy, or Arinsal in Andorra if you're after cheap skiing with great nightlife.

    Problem may be January however - to guarantee snow - you have to head for the Alps. Last year had a late start to the season snow wise.

    early Jan (after new years) will be low season in most resorts, so there may not be much craic to be had.

    January is low season? Really, when is high season?

    I've been to Andorra twice, want to go somewhere else... What resorts will have good snow in Jan?
