Whats going on with the esteemed FF TD for Cork East? He was given the bums rush from Department of Agriculture and Food after some jiggery-pokery regarding the not declaring an interest back in 2001 and he seems to have become semi-detached from his party, certainly its leadership. Having ducked out of two important votes he is now undermining Michael Martin, the minister for enterprise by saying he has known for a long time that the US harmaceutical giant Amgen had pulled the plug on its Cork plant but no-one was listening.

He got 18% of the vote at the last election, not quite a quota but I presume he's feeling comfortable or is it lucky? He proberly reckons if he is seen as a good constituency TD he's safe enough and it never hurts to be distrusted by Dublin down the country!

    Mike.

Is he not playing the classic walk on role in parish politics? Flotsam from a bygone era, FF should pull his plug, who needs such short memory but unreliable jerks?
