There is already a newer model of that samsung range the fe86. Improves on the hardware problems of the m86/87.

Its also alot cheaper to get TV's from sites in the UK for this model, and german ones for sony etc.

That tv is avai from sites like 1staudiovisual for 1170 + delivery (around 70). I would recommend for 1.5k 40" fe 86 have two of them and they are great. They are better than any other tv in that price bracket.

I have this. Very good LCD. Great picture, primary colours a bit weak though. A very good price, now.

Personally, I think 40" is a bit too small for HD. 46" at €1900 would tempt me.

Howdy There, Much the same myself. I'm hoping to buy a TV in the next week or so. I keep coming back to the following 3 TVs.

    Sony KDL40D3000
    Toshiba 42X3030D
    Sharp LC-42XD1E

I'm just wondering does anyone have comments on the 3 TVs above ? It will be used mainly for PS3

    Cheers

Will be looking for one myself over the next few weeks.
Is there a clear winner in the 'plasma or lcd' debate?

here's an interesting report on lcd Vs Plasma, in this report LCD wins, in the report posted above, plasma seems to win.

just adding to everyone's confusion !

Lol, It's a US website with people living in the midwest in mind. Denver, where I was born, is also know as the mile high city.

    Maybe read what you quote?

    http://www.1staudiovisual.co.uk/catalog/samsung-le40f86bdx-inch-p-2301.html

Its £1059 now which works out around 1520€. Around £50 for delivery. Got vat off both so worked out at around £900 each.

Didn't realise that avai actually meant available. Thought it was some sort of cheap brand tv you were talking about! In all fairness, how hard is it to finish typing the wo?? ;)

As for the price, that's more like €1600 as opposed to €1500. Can't really be expecting everyone to get VAT back.

Sorry, it is more towards the 1600 when you include delivery which is 24 hours. IMO its a great deal.
