Weight Watchers Calculators ?

little bit off topic so apologies in advance

how do weight watchers get there points value on the calculator by clicking on cals then saturated fat and then get amount of points ???

there charging €20 for these at meetings

i just want to know do i say

300 cals x 2 sat fat = 600 cals ie 6 points ? or what way does it work

I wouldnt bother myself- just stick with calculating calorie intake and figure your own protein/fat/carb ratios.

Would you elaborate a bit on the diet mentality, as a woman I helping with the psych side of things just got a cert from WW for losing 50 pounds, she still has a long way to go, but I must acknowledge that so far WW has significantly helped her. Are you just talking about viewing everything as weight loss as opposed to healthly living, or something else. Cheers.

I imagine "diet mentality", is the idea that you will change your food for a fixed term until you reach some goal, e.g. loose 2 stone, then you finish the diet phase, go back to your regular eating and pile it all on again- yo-yo dieting basically.

Most people find it hard enough to count calories without adding more forumlas with WW. Then I now people who lie to themselves about "points", trying to compare 100g chocolate bars to those tiny 20-30g cadbury ones "oh- a bar/buscuit is 2 points"- as if all are the same.

I am aware of my calorie intake but do not have to watch it too carefully since I made a change in the foods I eat- I would find it hard to eat too many calories now. And I have changed my foods for good, not a fixed term- I enjoy all the foods I eat- some go forcing down food for a fixed period- it will never work well in the long term.
