please can anyone help me, i am currently on yasmin, which i think might be causing headaches, and also i am bloated. i am due to start on the mini pill this evening, can't remember the name, but i'm finding it really hard to get info on why the mini pill might be better for me, my doctor is just saying i won't know till i try. i'm vexed from it. i've been on the pill years, am 32. any suggestions or help appreciated.

Hmm well yasmin is meant to be mild, I was going to be changed to that one, but another doc put me on mercilon. A milder one, because of a side effect I was having from the pill. So this mini-pill according to google is somewhat less stuff than whats in the regular pill so maybe less side effects?

I personally find I can go a bit mental starting a new pill .. and can be rather hormonal starting & finishing each pack. This minipill might suit you better - -but as your doc said -- you won't know till you try and they usually recommend you try for at least 2months to let it settle.
Could be your bodies changing /adapting to the pill & therefore it's been affecting you differently to before.

I hope the new pill works out for you -- i'm afraid i've no experience with the minipill

ask any pharmcist to explain the differences between the different pills and the potential side-effects. that's what they are there for

and your doctor is right, you won't know how it affects you until you take it as each pill affects each person differently
