IPO "Team Last Longest"

Anyone want in?

€300 a team. Team with highest points takes all. We're basically just increasing the cost of the team event... and making the payout steeper, but we're gamblers so meh.

Is it only against your team Niall? If 10 teams say yes, we're all only playing to outlast your team for €300 or €500. Is that right?

no, just like a regular last longest bet. if 10 teams play, then the top team takes all the money

yeah sry the original post was a bit mis-leading! cool, well just our two teams now. who else is on your team?

oh, and to my team:
I've talked to oscar and reggie about this bet and right now we're going to put up the full 300 (100 each) for our team, but if you want to join we'll just divide the 300 up again. If all 6 members of us participate it will be 50 each etc..

Niall, a stranger from the past here, just getting used to making posts. I wouldn't mind having a cut at this, with the team that I think that I am on, 5pin5, norwich Fan rob, big city banker, 30something, alan gibbons and myself, mark m.

I will be very late there on Saturday, so I need to confirm the blinding away situation before i confirm. I don't think there would be a problem with the others, but I will stake the difference.

Not Bad Niall, except drink persuaded me to play spoof and pool with roy the boy and norl o neill whilst drunk and lesson from both!!!

I am registered will not be there until 2.30. Dont think this will be a problem.

Just for this an idea might be to allow one blow up per team, as that will take them out of the main competition anyway, and only count the last five for this. Just a suggestions means that those that are having an early pint has only ffd over the team once!!!!

we'll all have one blow up on our team (we have reggie for that) so it should even out:D I'll also be having one or two at the breaks

Just to let ya'll know there will be betting available on the team event....Half of any profits from the book will go to the Simon Community but you will still get a fairly good price.

ok, updated the list. I suppose all provisional teams should let us know in this thread by tonight if they want to go ahead. If I don't hear from you I'll take you off the list, but if you come up to me at the last minute in the RDS that's prob ok too!

Also, just to be clear. The thread title was very mis-leading. I named it a last longest, but in the details I said it was the team with the highest points that takes all the money. More than likely, the winning tem will be the one to last the longest anyhow, but for the mean time I'll stick with the team that gets the highest points as the method for determining the winner. I think it's fairer that way.

If people want to change it to a pure last longest, let me know here and I'll change the terms.

I'll confirm with everyone on the day which method of scoring we decide here anyway.
