Import PS3 from HK

    Hi all,
    I’m thinking of taking the plunge and getting a PS3. I got a xbox 360 at launch and I think it’s class but for a few good reasons I’ll be picking up a PS3 at some stage anyway.

    I saw on ebay that I can get an 80GB Hong Kong English PS3 for £300 delivered. I reckon that to be about €430 with current exchange rates.

    My questions are thus - is there any issue with having an import PS3 (I know the games are region free and the B-Ray will be region 1)? Is it dodgy to buy one off ebay from Hong Kong (using paypal)? Will I get hit with import duty? And also, is this a good deal? - I assume I’ll have to buy a 2nd controller, games etc - will that really add to the cost?

    apparently theres a new ps3 out at the end of the month costing €399 here
