What is this? a piece of plastic that wraps around it or something? May as well get one anyway. Thanks.

Yeah. Has holes for the buttons. Basically there to protect the remote from bangs/scrapes etc

But is it better than one of those coloured skins that cost 5-10euro?

Don't really need them but everybody loves a freebie!

    Picture there http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=11120

I thinks its more for grip than protecting from scrapes etc.

Am I the only one that thought this was a jacket that you wear when playing the wii? (I thought mabe you could attach the remote to it some way to stop it flying off if you let go)

    NA has never failed me.

Got mine today - Can't say a thing wrong about them. There bubbly, imagine would be hard to drop wiimote and break it with jacket on, plus they give alot of grip=better gameplay.

Got mine yesterday as well - love free stuff me :)

They do feel comfy though, had a few goes with Wii Sports, Play, Metroid, Excite Truck and Godfather and it doesn't get in the way of any one use of the Wiimote from what I can see. Excite truck seems to be better with it if you ask me.

Ugly as sin though ;) Herself commented on the sex-toy look as well  narf!
