Currently their is no requirement for orange tips in Ireland. The orange tip rule applies to some countries like the USA.

The orange tip is especially important in countries where firearm ownership is very high, like in the US.

I guess for the likes of the UK and Ireland, very few firearms are in citizen ownership, hence the lack of a need to distinguish an airsoft gun from a real firearm.

Not to mention it's completely useless anyway as criminals have been known to paint real firearms with orange tips.

A growing craze in the states is Gangs with Pink Guns!!!
There are blogs/newspaper articles about the craze on the web
(But works surfwatch filters wont let me access the pages)
Apparently there is one gang who's trademark if thats the correct term
to use is for members to be "packing" pink pistols.

The Pink Pistols are a gay gun rights organization in the United States and Canada. Their mottos are "Armed gays don't get bashed" and "Pick on someone your own caliber."

    Ehehehe.

Funnily enough it says furthar down the script that you dont have to be LGBT to join. I can see masses of deep south republicans flocking to this group. LMAO

    Sorry if off topic ;)
