I want to try and say how ive earned valuable life experience etc from travelling but cant think of anything other than its broden my horizons a bit and grown me up? Anything else I can say to try and convince them going trravelling will make me a better worker?

If any of you were asked about it in an interview what was asked and how did you repond? Thanks fro your help

So many people go travelling these days it's not a big deal.

I would personally take the angle of "I've gotten travelling out of my system and I'm now ready to get back working".

I wouldn't be worrying about it too much.

It's gotten to the stage that so many people go travelling these days that employers almost prefer if you've done it so you're not going to quit their company in a year or so and go travelling.

    You'll have no problems

Just be prepared for the interview. My bugbear with some ppl who have been travelling (in my very humble experience) is that they have come in to interview completely unprepared - but that's ok because they've been travelling loike. Its not as if they just got off a plane for the interview, some were back up to 6 months.

Travelling is a good ice-breaker, its nice to talk about it for a few minutes, but eventually (in my field) we have to talk about the technical issues, and that's where the travelling ends.

    Ok thanks.

but im sure they are going to ask something like what life experiecences have you learned from travelling? Im just a bit more mature now, maybe a bit more patient to. Anything else you guys have learned or anything else I should say?

That sounds fine, but have a reason why you're more mature and patient now, and why you weren't impatient and immature beforehand :)
