Out in the garden today, snapping all manner of bugs.
I thought this was the best of the bunch.

Taken with a Canon A80 with a reversed 50mm lens.
    C&C please...

How did you mount the lens onto an A80? Shot is really sharp - not sure about the really cold colour though.

    Thirdfox,
I used a reverse mount adapter, like this one.
Not an idead macro set up, but it can get results!

The cold colour may be from the silver surface I snapped it on. It was on the roof of the car!

He he thought it was a kitchen table (probably not the most appetising place to find a fly :) )

Maybe it could do with a bit post-processing...

That brought the colours out nicely.
For a noob to ps, how did you do that?

I'm very new to photoshop too (only use about 5% of its functions :o )

I adjusted levels to balance the pic a bit.
Then curves was adjusted a tiny bit.
Unsharp mask at 100% with 0.3 radius.
Colour balance randomly changed until the silver surface looked more silvery. (There must be a better way to change colour but I don't know what it is!)
