Today is the day gentlemen. All the spinning, excuses and preparation come down to this afternoon. It's a huge DDay for Irish rugby but an even bigger one for EOS.

    where ever there is hope....

although i'm getting tired of hearing it being compared to munsters 20 odd point win over glouster

lets just get behind them tonight, and put in a perforance to make the country proud

Ireland to win, but not to qualify.

My prediction an epic match, Ireland pushing for the 4th try for the last 5 minutes but failing, similar to Argentina match in 99'

    Care to elaborate?
Been watching Ireland for a long, long time. Regrettably there doesn't seem to be a shred of evidence to suggest that they will do anything other than what we have seen in the last few games. But I'll be cheering in hope.

Blind, mindless and moronic optimism is not necessary to be a fan - it just happens to frequently be present.

Absolutely. The best fans are the ones who know there is little chance of success but still get behind the team hoping and wishing that today will be the day the team pulls out the one performance they do every now and again. These are the fans you see who cheer the team most loudly and feel the elation most strongly when they win and the pain most fiercely when they lose.

Ireland win ! Ireland goes next round ! :)

    IRELAND 63-10 ARGENTINA

    33 - 20 will do nicely!

If we continue to improve as we did against France - we can get the four tries!
Vary the game more, get the backrow linking and offloading to the backline and gaps will appear.

Have to ensure the Argies dont score 4 tries as well or were finished!

Ireland to do it ! :D

I dunno about some of you guys but I almost feel guilty if thats the right word for being some what optimistic. I hope in my heart that ireland pull this out of the bag for what could be the biggest game in irish rugby history. On the other side my head is saying dont be such a stupid fool its a fairytale win. The anticipation is making me sick roll on match time and get the execution out of the way.

    20 (4 tries) v 12,

    thats all we need

Well I'm just hoping its not over too quickly, if we can get one or two tries in the first half keep ahead or in touch with argentina, then i'll start to believe its possible.

Would hate if Argentina got a good start and there was no contest.

today is the 28th anniversery of pope john paul II visit to galway, so maybe he can help us out
