VCD won't play on dvd player?

I have a VCD, it will work on my pc but won't work on a dvd player? What is going wrong with it?:confused: cheers.

some (older mainly)dvd players don't work with cd-rw's

that could be one reason while it might not work...

or if a disc wasn't finalised

or if it was burnt as udf type disc instead of iso

Ruu, I don't know what kind but I bet its a load of bollox cos we got it for €30 in lidl or somewhere.....
It plays not a bother on the pc though, If it was on a normal dvd disc would it play on that dvd player then?

Most likely DVD player doesn't support VCD. Not all do.

Read the front of the DVD Player. If it lists VCD, get back to us. Otherwise, it won't play it. Oh, and see does it play DivX. Most new'ish DVD players do.
