So what do all the Grey's Anatomy fans think? I, for one, as someone who enjoyed Grey's as a simple guilty pleasure thought it was pretty woeful.

From the opening with Addison dancing to THAT song 'Don't Feel Like Dancing' by The Scissor Sisters and her boss seeing her naked. Watch that scene again.. you'll notice a few things:

    (i) Kate Walsh (Addison) has no comedic ability whatsoever.. she tried to make dancing to the song funny. It wasn't.. i cringed at it all her awkward attempts at comedic faces and funny dance moves.
(ii) Could they have picked a more obnoxious song? Really?!?!
(iii) How many times in TV shows and Films will be have to see an awkward moment of someone dancing badly clothed and / or naked and have their next door neighbour spot them through an ill-placed window? It's not funny... it's a cliché for fecks sake!
(iv) Taye Diggs.. i once respected you! 'Day Break' was a ratings failure but it was inventive TV - this is not!

From then onwards, it just seemed to get worse... and... worse!

Saving grace being Paul Adelstein as Cooper.. who has few lines but puts in a better performance than most of his fellow cast given the little dialogue. Come back to 'Prison Break', all is forgiven! :D

PS - oh, and the 'Grey's Anatomy' season opener wasn't much better!

Had a look at both of these and have been watching Grey's Anatomy on and off, mostly through the RTE double helpings. I think that the writing in both of them was an absolute mess and tbh if Ms Grey were to suffer a demise the show would not notice.

I agree on Kate Walsh, she's OK for the odd comedic moment but is not a natural comedy actor. In fact I felt that they were milking the comedy a bit too much and trying too hard in general to get all the main characters into 40 odd minutes.

Hard to make any real call on them after just one show , but if they continue in the same vein they may haemorrhage viewers. Greys' Anatomy will probably survive but its newer sibling may not.

I agree she not funny, shes one strange looking women, she has this huge jaw???

I like taye diggs was good in Kevin.

I thought it was wierd just like greys anatomy is wierd.

Have watched the episodes that formed part of S03 of Grey's Anatomy, and considering that Addison had grown to be one of my favourite characters over the last two years, I hated it. I hated the divorced friend (who I believe has been recast). I hated the surfer dude receptionist - 20 year old eye candy for women pushing 40. I seriously hated Amy Brennerman's hippy therapist. And the talking lift? Purlease.

The guys didn't do as bad a job, but then again Taye Diggs didn't get much to do. The other two were better, but overall the whole thing sucked, and I hope that when it bombs, they find a way to bring Addison back to Seattle (an Addisex unexpected baby???), and then forget about the mess that was PP. Oh and the guys on tvguide.com said Ep 1 was rubbish too.

Their doesn't seem to be any consistency in the show so far , in my opinion ... in that one week - great and the next then i can't sit and watch 20mins of ths show.

It does have a few comedic moments but i hope they are not relying on them to boost viewing ... I would like to know how many are tuning in to watch it (maybe someone might know/or have figures to hand?) on a weekly basis ... are they maintaining viewing or are the numbers fluctuating...

It is perfect timing on the tv though, right before Greys's Anatomy. I don't think she is a loss to Grey's Anatomy at all ... their are enough women in McDreamys' life at the moment; what we could do with is less of his love-life now and more of his "professional" skills to the fore (producers are more than milking his attractiveness)

    They're both horrific right now..

'Grey's Anatomy' is tired, boring but has somewhat interesting characters...

'Private Practice' is slightly better written but don't really care about the characters.. well, I care about them less than I do in 'Grey's Anatomy' - which I admit isn't much!

I've seen all of the new season already and i actually quite like this show. not one of those that i love or anything but find it as an easy watch. there is some decent storylines and obviously some far fetched but thats normal for shows like this.

i think you have to like the Addison character really to start watching the show. I am a big fan of Paul Adelstein [Cooper] and Tim Daly [Pete] so I came back for more.

Thought it was a good season and whoever enjoyed season one will def like season 2

Season 3 starts tomorrow night on Living
Brian Benben aka Dr. Sheldon Wallace has been promoted to a full-fledged series regular for Season 4. Benben joined the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off on a recurring basis in season 2 as the resident shrink at Oceanside’s rival practice, Pacific Wellcare.

    http://www.tvline.com/2011/03/benjamin-bratt-joins-private-practice-cast/
Private Practice will ends its season with a bang by adding Benjamin Bratt as a series regular.
The Law & Order vet will first appear in the ABC drama’s Season 4 finale, then continue on as a full-time cast member come fall, says The Hollywood Reporter. Though there are no details on Bratt’s character, his arrival should come on or around the time of Audra McDonald’s exit from the series as an original cast member. As first reported by TVLine in February, McDonald is ending her full-time run as Naomi in order to spend more time with her family on the East Coast.

Is anyone still watching this? I'm loving the current Cooper/Charlotte storyline
with Erica and Mason. The scene where Mason cries to Charlotte after saying goodbye to Erica was heartbreaking. Great acting by all involved.
