New subforums...

As you can see I've created two new forums. I've left the main forum as a general community forum and created two more focused forums for Holdem and Omaha hand histories and theory.

I thought long and hard (with input from the poker mods) about which forums to create and which to leave as the main forum and this is the option I think works best so we'll try it and see how it goes.

I think this is the least disruptive change that has the greatest beneficial effect on signal:noise ratio.

Oh, I'd ask people to use the new forums for threads that obviously fit.
And I'd ask the mods to "assist" people to do that from now on.
(existing threads can live out their lives here, I'm not going to bother going back through time to reassign threads and I suspect neither are the mods )

So thats our first request sorted DeV,
now didn't we request that www.boards.ie/poker would redirect to this forum

Great work, Dev and Mods. I was seriously beginning to think that the poker forum was being ignored in any requests.

I'd suggest that the Omaha HH forum be used for every other HH for 5-card/razz/stud etc.
It's not the way I'd have organised the forums but hopefully it will make the poker forum easier to navigate and good threads will stay on page 1 for longer.

Fully agree. We should pretend that it is called 'Omaha and Variants' or somesuch.

oh, I wasn't directing the comment at you, I mean the new forum is up, theres no reason a request to change to the title to include stud and draw games
