    Hey,

Just have a few of Q's about this:

    1) will it work over here

    2) will the games over here work on it

    3) would I get nailed at customs in the airport for tax

And anything else you may think of!
    Thanks

    1) Yes, but you'll need a power convertor.
    2) Yes, PS3 games are multi-region.
    3) Probably not.

And anything else you may think of?

The backwards compatability is region locked, unlike the PS3 games. So your old PSOne, PS2 games won't run.

Bluray movies are region locked but a lot of them will work.

    1) Yes it will, i have an american one. You will NOT need a power convertor just a regular old pc power cable or an adapter for the american plug. The playstation takes 110-240V

    2) Yes games will work from here or america on your ps3.

    3) Probably not, i wasn't anyways. Irish customs is a bit of a joke. Throw away your box, you don't have a warranty in ireland anyways and say you brought it out with you. I dont know have you ever seen a ps3 though... there massive! And pretty damn heavy! I brought it in my carry on,luggage but if was doing it again i'd think twice about that!

This should really be stickied as i asked the same questions 3 months ago!

Oh and stock up on games! There only €45 over there. If your going any where where there is an FYE (fye.com) I bought a loyailty card that gives you 10% of games and such(i saved more than it cost) you can have it if you want... don't think ill be out in america anytime soon!

Hi.! about this topic, I'm from Mexico, and I'll move to Ireland, before I go to Ireland I'm thinking to buy a PS3 because is more expensive in Ireland than in US, but my doubt is if I'll need to pay a custom or tax to introduce it to Ireland... anyone can help me with this doubt.? Thanks.!
