Tried it for smoking before, found it ok for a day then back to square one. It would depend how suggestible someone was too I would imagine, though most can be hypnotised in a clinical setting. It's very good for relaxation. You can get tapes that help you self hypnotise. I got some mp3 files for that ages ago. Dunno where they've gotten to, but they were free to download. Google and see.

I would say if your more relaxed and less nervous and the doubts in your head are quieter it must surely help with confidence.

I would say, contemplate your personality and life and honestly look at those things that you feel hold you back and affect your confidence. You know what they are if you're honest with yourself. A lot of stuff about us we can't change, but there's a lot of stuff we can and you may be surprised how easily. Concentrate on the latter. Also if something scares you socially or indeed in other ways, do it and do it again until you're bored of being scared. Works a treat.

That advice is available on CD for only 19.99. Cash on delivery....:D

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

My experience is that hypnosis can certainly contribute to your building of confidence. However it cannot 'give' you confidence in and of itself. The best ways to build confidence is by doing things, achieving things, being involved in challenges - whether socially, in sports, hill walking, competition, work, career etc.

    All the best.

it works but as someone else said , you must contribute too,you must be patient , anyone can be hypnotized with the exception of some people with mental disabilities or people suffering from schizophrenia etc , but the more you want to be hypnotized the more likely it will work.

You have to remember though, that you are in a high state of concentration when hypnotized (contrary to popular belief). you are so concentrated on what is being suggested that you start to daydream it. This is called a trance. This takes some people a little longer than others to get the grasp of.
Type "hypnosis confidence" into youtube and theres a few good short ones there. But you wont see real results until you start doing proper longer mp3s. The best thing you can do though is go to a hypnotist, and make sure theyre a good one.

The concept behind it is that while your in a state of trance the hypnotist can say things to your subconcious. This counteracts the things your always saying to yourself without realising it. you can learn to do this yourself without a hypnotist but its best go to a session or 2 just to know what your doing.
"Im no good at this", "ive no confidence" "I always get nervous", you learn to stop saying these things to yourself and start saying positive things.
And as you probably know yourself , if your convinced somethings going to go really well you stop worrying about it, and hence -> more confidence.

But again, its not magic, remember you must put in a bit of effort too.
    Best of luck
