I was listening to a podcast and came across this site from Tamron. They have a DOF and focal length, calculator but the best thing is, its in flash so you can change the aperture at any focal length and show you the actual photo, looks like they went out and took the photo a 50mm at every f-stop, then again at 70mm etc.…
