Is it possible to use your Vodafone mobile in South East Asia i.e Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam etc.? I'm in Thailand at the moment and I can't get it to work. I can receive texts and calls but can't send texts or make calls.

Anyone know what to do, have you got it to work before?

I have the exact same problem but read that there's no solution to the problem. I edned up just buying a thai phone.

I think Meteor and O2 phones work fine over here though!!!

One reason I experienced with roaming was I had witheld my caller ID. Check in your settings that caller ID is set to allow sending. Otherwise I don't know

just back from thailand - you need to use ais as service provider.
the caller id thing is very annoying though

I've used Vodafone in mainland Malaysia & Borneo, Brunei too... no problems. Except I'd never do it again. I got a very heavy bill for receiving a call there. Far better to just get a local sim (or phone)
