I'm concerned about my sexual health. Where can I go for checkup?

My GP is the first obvious choice, but I want to know what my other options are. I'd be a bit embarrassed going to my GP. It seems that most of the places I find when googling are either AIDS clinics or pregnancy crisis centers.

I'm concerned about delayed ejaculation issues etc. I'm in South Dublin.

I saw the sticky here, and James Hospital seems like an option, but I work 9-5, and it's not an 'emergency' (which I assume is open after 5).

Yes your GP is a good start, if that doesn't work for you, try a GP. However, your GP knows your history, so that is the best start.

You could take a morning off for St. James or I suspect some of the private / charitable clinics will open slightly later in the evening. Phone them and find out what works for you.

As far as I know www.wellwomancentre.ie/ deal with Men too for certain issues. They might do testing etc. Check out the website.

'I'm slightly concerned about something down there too, although it's not a sexual health issue.
Is there a specialist urologist or gynaecologist in Dublin i could go to instead of my GP, who I'm pretty sure won't know much about it.'

    Interesting article for OP. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001954.htm

Might help you determine if you should be seeing a urologist, sex therapist or maybe even hypnotist. Hope springs eternal... "Outpatient treatment commonly requires about 12 - 18 sessions with an average success rate in the range of 70 - 80%."

    Good luck.

Get your gp to organise a consult for you in either the rotunda or the coomb both have Gyn services.

    He has delayed ejaculation issues.

OP, your GP is the best place to start. GPs have seen and heard it all before.
