Bought it today on Ebay. I want to use it as an everyday classic if I can. I bought this car blind but it looks good in the pics - hope they arn't twenty year old pics. Well if they are I am not parting with a penny anyway.;)

So what do you think? :)

    Nice!

How do you plan on bringing it back to Ireland (due to the lack of motor tax on it)?

I dunno. Sometimes you can get a lot more than you expect for small money.

I always liked those little Toledo/Dolomites.
They seem to punch above their weight in terms of interior comforts and are absolutely simple to work on. I was given two of them for free many years ago. A blue Dolomite 1500, and a white 1800 twin carb, by a friend who was emigrating. I made one good one from the two and restored (filled the rust holes with filler and Fiberglas and sprayed it:rolleyes: ) it and gave it to my girlfriend at the time as a surprise. She loved it and drove it for a good few years. She obviously got a taste for old motors as when it eventually fell apart, she replaced it with a Reilly Elf which was then handed over to me to replace the sills and the boot floor. Ah memories....
Well wear, a nice little classic at give away money.

wow, 'sud, I'm gobsmacked. That looks fantastic...

I've driven two cars back through the UK with tax "issues" - one was taxed okay, but I let the previous owner keep the disc so as to return it and get a refund; and then the other car I drove back hadn't been taxed in 6 months. I was bricking it right up to Holyhead, but I guess I was lucky - even Customs there didn't mention it (they always stop me for a natter for some reason).
