Hey, Does anyone know can we use the sports centre now (I've paid my fees!) or do I need to wait to register again? I'm going into JS, so have a student card and all that. I'd like to use it this week and next but dunno if i can!

    Thanks!:)

I was told by the woman at the front desk that I would have to wait till I had registered on 1st October and was holder of a shiny new student card. :-(

Just wondering, is the new Sports Centre in Trinity free for students of TCD to use?

Yeah, it is. Free, however, may be the wrong word. You should have noticed a €70 levy on your registration fee at the start of the year which was for use of the sports centre.

Ah yeah, I get you. Thats still excellent tho, €70 is nothing for the use of those facilities! That's great value for money. In DCU, its €190 which is a good bit more.

And does that 70 euro include all the time that the sports centre is open for, like including weekends and stuff? Or is there some sort of off-peak hours that students can only use it?

Are all parts of the sports centre opened now? As in the swimwing pool and stuff?

It covers you for access whenever the place is open. I'm pretty sure everything is finished and open too, I don't use it though so I'm not 100% certain.

Yep, that fee covers all access hours. And yes, all the facilities are open now. None of this off-peak crap as it's only student members.

Is it possible for a friend, who isn't a TCD student, to use the swimming pool and obviously pay to use it? Like 10euro a go or is it strictly TCD people only?
