Control of XBMCs

Has anyone attempted to control more than one XBMC with a single remote?

The idea is to have a 'Master' control to turn off other XBMCs around the house if required.
Or to maybe even control what the other XBMCs play.

Can the xtender in the main tv room be used to instruct the HTPC that it's near bedtime in the den of rampantbunny and all other extenders are to be denied content?

Interesting question or the musings of a raving lunatic?
