just realised, is this in the wrong board, can a mod let me know if so, sorry

I think it's different plug-ins for different browsers. These wouldn't copy over.

Unfortunately not. Java and Flash need to be reinstalled because they have their own components designed to work with Firefox, and those need to be registered with the application. They weren't installed originally because Firefox wasn't installed then.

They are just plugins as far as I know and not the entire set of program files, a bit annoying but you should be alright once those few things are installed.

    Ed: Ah beaten to it.

cheers guys, as a comparison to explorer, how would you rate it, used it in the internet cafes a few times, didn't see much differnece apart from visual, does the windows defender such as pop up blocker and active x controls still work as normal

Some of the add-ons are great. Try some of them out.

Well one thing you should check out is the built in dictionary.
    Get it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3
This will spell check posts you make to forums like boards.ie. (very useful)

Then go to tools - add-ons - click "get extensions"
There are a wide range of add on just browse and try to find ones you might light to use. There are probably a few threads on board where people recommend extensions.

Defiantly get the add block plus extension, this will block the majority of adverts on the internet, not just popups but also one that are actually part of the page you want to view.

I actually forgot about this, possibly one of the handiest things to have especially if you post here drunk. :)

If you get adblock , get this too:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59

    can be useful
