    Hi.
I live in Dublin north city centre.
I can find lots of secured Wifi networks with my notebook.
    i.e. eircom445 7865
    eircom223 7856
    BTwireless554 4789
    and others with similar names.
    Signal strength seems ok.

Can anyone tell me if i could somehow connect to any of these wifi spots?
Is it possible to buy access codes and configuration?
    Thanks.

Those are wireless routers in homes and businesses, not public wifi spots. By default, when you get Eircom BB or BT they give you a router with wireless access now that is by default enabled, but to connect to it you must know the WPA or WEP key (depending on how its configed). The only way to get the passkey is to connect to the router locally via CAT5 cable and then going into the setup via a web browser.

So you might be able to see those wifi spots (they are common in every town throughout Ireland now), but you can't connect unless you have access to the actual router (and passkey).
