    Hey all,

I'm going to Oktoberfest with a few friends on Wednesday. Can anyone give me advice on places to go, things to see? Any memorable stories about places?

If your going specifically for the Oktoberfest then there's not much else to tell you. It just a lots of tents with lots and lots and lots of beer. The times are a bit different to Irish pubs, as in the drinking basically starts fairly early, around 2, and they close are 12, IIRC. Oh and watch out for the gay tent, we were right in the middle of it before we realised what it was!!

The centre of Munich is really beautiful, so dunno where your staying but have a good looka round there if you have time. There's a really famous beer hall, Hofbräuhaus, which is cool. Apparently and Hitler had regular rallies in the early days of the Nazi Party. We also went to see Dachau, a concentration camp outside Munich. Sorry but it was a good few years since we there, so I can't remember how to get there.

Apart from those few things we just drank our brians out for about 2 weeks!!
