Problem installing some games

I got the young lads a new PC a few weeks ago and while most of their games have installed successfully a few of them have hit a problem and wont install. : Rome total war, SWAT 4, Rise of nations (rise of legends), The movies. These would have been running OK on their old PC.

The games would be installing for less than a minute then an error message appears - 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime

This is the PC they have

Is there anything simple (and I mean simple) that I could get them to tweak themselves that may help with installing the games.

    Thanks in advance

Im going to try to post a snapshot of the error message. One of the lads clicked on a file on the game disc (ISS script 9) and then got another error message which again I hope to post a snapshot of.

Edit: unable to upload the snapshot as it exceeds the quota

might try disabling the anti virus when insatalling the games

    actually heres some info http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=q107070

something like using a limited account might be the problem

Thanks eolhc. The link looks good but sadly I am not too technically minded.

if there are a number of user accounts... ie when you login to the computer can you choose whose settings to go into?

some games require that you use an administrator login/account to install the games

when creating users in the control panel, you can create a limited account or an administrator account, when installing the game you'd want to be using a user that has an administrator type account

There are 3 accounts. The eldest lad is listed as the administrator and he logs into his account to install them but to no avail
