I have an Irish sub in the UK and I'm thinking of upgrading to Sky+, I have a couple of questions, if I buy the sky+ box myself do I have to connect to the phone line to marry my card to the new box and what happens if I just got one feed going into the box instead of the normal two, can I still record?

    Thanks in advance

You do not need the phone line connected. Just call Sky and give them the required details of the new Sky+ box, and they will activate the recording facility on your account.

I believe you are able to use minimal recording facilities with only one feed, like recording only one program at any one time / record only the program you're currently watching. Better to invest in a dual / quad LNB if I were you and lay the second feed.

Sounds good, I think I'll order a Sky+ box and if it works get a second feed installed

    Thanks for the reply :)

Nps. But are you getting your Sky+ box from eBay or similar?

Probably buy one from one of the UK on-line satellite shops, I think they are retailing at £150 or there about:)
