And 152 total with the 20 buck entry.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,187 ✭✭✭Flushdraw

Good work Lloyd and i'll give this a go even though i'll miss half the events because of work which is a shame..

    Just 2 quick questions..

Will the payout for these events be stars normal payouts for small field events?

Would it be a better idea to stagger the points distribution a little for top 3 places in each event rather than just the steady increment of 2 points for each place up the ladder?

lol ditto! I'll have to set up Stars a/c etc but looks like would prob be worth it, vwp Lloyd
I don't play tournaments to begin with, so can only imagine how embarrassingly bad I will be in a Stud, Omaha HL, or Razz tourney :D

That would have been unfair. In cash you own but I will never forgive you for your standard calling of my Push in the west with AJ and me with KK. Ever.

Nice work Lloyd, unlucky with the deep stacked tourney or 6 max ones, you went out of your way to try and for that I'm sure I speak for us all and say thank you.

I probably won't even be able to play many of these events but I'll pop in if I ever get my bloody internets sorted.

    Good luck all.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

I'd love to enter but I know in my heart of hearts that I would only play about 4 of these events even trying really hard to play them all. I might just play a few without entering the overall thing. I'll decide before Sunday anyhow.

Good stuff on the auld effort front Lloyd.

I'll play a few of the Tuesday games for the crack...

    - All the events will use the standard stars payout structure.

    - I don't see any need to stagger the points distribution. This way, consistency is rewarded. Finishing in the top few in every event will be worth more than a couple of wins on their own. As I said, you can score things in plenty of different ways - I chose this method.

If you are going to miss a lot of the events prolly best to not enter the overall competition Tony.

Fair enough, I hope you didnt mean this reply to come across the way it did......

I reckon i'll miss only miss 3 or 4 of these events so for the sake of $20 i'll still enter as soon as i get my pokerstars account sorted. I'll PM when i ship the dollars across

nice one LL - i'm looking forward to nitting it up already!! - that reminds me - where's my appology for your very ill-informed slanderous remarks?? ;):p

...i'll ship the $$ before the off

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,124 ✭✭✭NickyOD

Good Stuff Lloyd. I'll play as many of these as I can but the Sunday events clash with a lot of things.

As many here know, I like to give a few prizes now and again for Boards Poker Comps, so this year to mark the opening of our dedicated poker webstore www.casinoshop.ie the winner of the Boards Online Poker Series will receive one of new professional 2 in 1 poker tables valued at €800 - €1000 (depending on the size you want).

The new tables are solid wood with leather surround and come with an option of adding a solid wood dining table top. (winner will receive choice of table + top) - So no more arguments with other household member about where to put a poker table.

We will have sizes to suit everything from apartments to country mansions - 4' round, 5'. 7' & 8'. Green Red & Brown Felts. See attached picture of 4' 5' & 7' tables without the tops.

The winner will be the person who Lloyd informs me when the comp is over and delivery is included to any address in Ireland.

Lloyd, I'm thinking of entering, but I have a busy month in work. Are these tourneys likely to drag on until the small hours or how long does the structure figure to make them last?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,900 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

    great prize, very generous,
I feel bad I won't be able to play until the later events

I'm very disappointed I won't be able to play many of these as I am heading off to the continent for a few weeks tomorrow and will be living poker-less tragically. Should enter some of the later events on a casual basis. Looks great as usual, fair play to Lloyd for organising :)

Good stuff Lloyd. Lots of different games for me to dog people at, at least I'll be able to use the "I don't really know how to play" defence in the chat box on a regular basis and be telling the truth and not just deluding myself..

This looks pretty cool , wont be able to play that many events but will give the Nlhe & omaha events a go if i get the time , very good idea though , i like :)
