You can get 2/1 on there being less than 2 goals in the Utd/Chelsea game.

1/3 of your stake on 0-0 draw, 8/1 @ Ladbrokes.
2/3 of your stake on exactly 1 goal, 7/2 @ Better or Betdirect.

Have a money-back saver on 'exactly 2 goals' @ 5/2 with Stan James.

I went about it a total different way (due to personal free bets and moneyback offers with various sites) but that is the jist of it. Betting in a game with a new manager always has me unsettled but nevertheless my bet is on.

United's second goal cost me quite a bit of winnings but thats the way it goes!
Had the money back saver on 2 goals anyway so no loss.

Get on Utd to win 1-0 at Wigan, 7/1 with Betfred (will probably drop).
Have a saver on 2-0 at 11/2, also with Betfred (easily available elsewhere).

    eg. 10pts win 1-0
    2pts win 2-0

    Happy Days.

(If either team score 4 or more goals in the game, Betfred will refund my correct score bets)

Betfred also have good odds for a scorecast. United 1-0 with Rooney or Ronaldo to score first, both 33/1. United 2-0 with either, both 25/1.
If only one part of your bet works out, Betfred will refund your stake.

Already have my percentage on the game placed but will have a fiver on the above 4 bets, might pay for a few beers.

Unlucky man, looks like Lawro has given your 2-0 the kiss of death...

Had forgotten all about this offer. Not so bad!

God Wigan were shocking at times though.

Get on Arsenal @ 1.27 with Chronicle.

Get on Ronaldo to score first (insure bet) with Paddy Power at 4/1.

Get on Man City @ 3.95 with Chronicle.

Probably not wise Forky to drag up old threads. Best plan would be to post in current football threads.

Keeping my bets in one thread, whats the damage?

The idea of posting bets is to post your idea of valuable ones. How can anyone judge if I or anyone else is any good if their bets are all over the place??

Probably not wise to post useless replys. Best plan would be to pm.

Oh but don't worry if I have a good value 13 team accumulator I'll post it in the accumulator thread. Or if I find a good value lottery bet i'll reply to the lotto thread.

Nah James, the most suitable one here is in fact the hated rolly eyes one.

I say to you Forky,

As an Arsenal fan I'd be apprehensive about backing them against Everton giving our lacklustre performance against Portmouth. Teams that close us down in the manner of Portsmouth, Villa and Newcastle have stemmed creativity in our questionable 4-5-1 formation. Thread carefully here, it's a crap price anyway!

Ah no harm in it is there?

I hope you're correct regarding Arsenal (as a United fan) but I can see them bouncing back today and collecting all 3 points without too much trouble.

Good day, both selections in and a lot of my christmas spending recovered.

    :D

edit: (Just realised I posted the Arsenal price as 1.27 instead of 1.27/1 or 2.27. Would explain why Erin said it was a crap price)

Man City 40/1 to lift the FA Cup with Ladbrokes.

Too big a price. I'm on.

I'd rather take 4/9 that one of the top four win it. Last season's top four anyway. :D

Can't imagine where you see any value in that mate.
Man City drew today, which brings the replay to Manchester. They should get through.
And the price should have already dropped a few points when the bookies re-open the betting shortly. It was far too big at 40's.

There's value in it because one of the big 4 are likely to win the cup, man city are not, at best city are an ok each way shout.

    Cup winners since 1989:

    1989 Liverpool
    1990 Manchester United
    1991 Tottenham Hotspur
    1992 Liverpool
    1993 Arsenal
    1994 Manchester United
    1995 Everton
    1996 Manchester United
    1997 Chelsea
    1998 Arsenal
    1999 Manchester United
    2000 Chelsea
    2001 Liverpool
    2002 Arsenal
    2003 Arsenal
    2004 Manchester United
    2005 Arsenal
    2006 Liverpool
    2007 Chelsea

Oh you are correct that one of the big 4 are likely to win it, but I still don't see much value in 4/9.
I'd be more confident in getting a better return from my bet, without waiting until May.

fair point if they get a good draw on monday the price should shorten

After the draw Ladbrokes re-opened City's odds at 12/1! Bit extreem!
