Best was without a doubt the 2004 Tingle Creek at Sandown. Standing by the final fence when Moscow Flyer jumped it I was like a maniac cheering him up the hill!

Worst was watching Dorans Pride fall in the 2003 Foxhunters. Was no more than 10 yards from him when he fell to the ground with a sickening crack. Absolutely terrible

1st time I ever went racing was only recently but it was Yeats who obliterated the field (and rightly so ;) ) at Leopardstown back in May.

Will carry that memory with me for a long time of Yeats in full flight crossing the winning post.

Thank god in the 4/5 meetings I've been to since - havent seen a nasty fall.

Cold St.Stephens day. Up in Lepordstown. Watching and cheering Schindler's Hunt jump the last and go on to win at 10/3!

Best - Cheltenham - Started off badly when Moscow flyer fell in the Champion. Hadn't backed a winner in two days at this stage. Two races later I pick a 14/1 winner along with a straight forecast (paid £59 - had it for 10). Then backed Tralee winner of bumper. Whole week paid for.

Worst - Cheltenham - First time at Friday Gold Cup. I was that sick from drink I couldn't stay at the track - too crowded and thought I would heave. Watched Gold Cup from big screen in car park and then went to bus to have a lie down.

I was at that meeting. Got a nice couple of snaps of the great horse with my camera phone.

Best - Think it was 1987, and for my birthday my folks would take me to the old Phoenix Park races. My hero, Pat Eddery, was there to ride Digamist for his new boss, Prince Khaled Abdullah. As I had only turned 10, I hadn't got much money, so the £2 I put on him was quite a bit for me back then. Anyhoo, he won at 7/1 and I was a happy wee boy.

Worst - Was probably the above Leopardstown meeting. I had only gotten paid that day and nearly lost it all! Although, seeing Istabraq fall for the first time at Leopardstown a few years ago was scary as I thought he was invincible.

Best was prob seeing florida pearl win the last of his Hennessy gold cups. Seeing limestone lad and Like a butterfly battle out the irish champion hurdle also.

Worst was the day i went to fairyhouse last december and it was abandoned after two races

Best and worst both at Cheltenham in 1999. Had a huge bet on Istabraq to cover the week and had a 16/1 winner later same day. Thought I was invincible.

Next day put my shirt on Nick Dundee. I can still hear the groan that went up when he nearly killed himself at the third last. Ouch.

Was listening to TodayFM a while ago, some lad lost 4500 in the jacks at one of the Irish race courses. I imagine that was horrible for him.

Racing wise, my best was seeing Hardy beat Brave Inca in the AIG Champion Hurdle last year.

Worst, was seeing Sporting Limerick fall and die in Galway last year.

I was at the Melbourne cup last year.
It was a great event, a bit sad (and financially damaging) that Yeats didnt win.
Worst day at a race course?
Saturday at Ballybrit in August. It was just sh1t racing. I didnt even have a bet, adn watched the Meath Tyrone game instead.
