    Hi

I need to be in Dresden for 11am on Fri Oct 12 and want to fly back to Dublin on Sun 14th.

Direct flights to Dresden seem pricey and would require me to fly the night before and stay over thursday night.

Any advice on the best way to get there? Fly to Berlin or Leipzig? then take a train or rent a car?

    Many thanks.

If it must be 1100am, you probably need to fly the night before then to Berlin or Leipzig. There are direct trains from both to Dresden: Leipzip is around 70mins, and Berlin is around 130 mins.

BA will do Dublin --> gatwick --> Dresden, leaving early Friday morning but arrives at 3pm

Lufthansa will go from Dublin through Frankfurt to Dresden on early Friday morning but will only get to Leipzig at around 1pm.

The only other solution on Friday morning is getting the 0605 to Berlin Schonefeld but the most immediate train connection at 0930 has two changes and gets to Dresden at 12.50pm.

You are going to be leaving on Thursday night I think!

Maybe you could go with Germanwings via Cologne/Bonn.

I used to live in Dresden, and always flew into Berlin Schonefeld and then took the train direct to Dresden. However, I never needed to arrive at 11am :)
