will (hopefully!!!) have a wedge of my Northern Rock savings in my current account in a few days. Will probably withdraw and put in another savings account. Obviously don't want to withdraw over 20k in cash. Do banks (I'm with PTSB) levy a charge when you withdraw by cheque? AFAIK online banks don't and my local credit union never did. Anyone know if PTSB do?

PTSB will charge you €1.90 to issue a draft.

if you've a cheque book on your account isn't it only around 20c for the chq as opposed to getting a draft drawn
