I've been surfing on the net when I fell on http://www.drugdelivery.ca/bird-flu.aspx and it seems like bird flu hasn't been eradicated at all... I've thought it was but it's not!!!!!! what do you suggest we do? Tamiflu is already on its way to my home, i was wondering about the vaccine against bird flu, has anyone had it? has it been created yet? what would you do if the pandemic started tomorrow?? I'm shaking just at the thought of it!

Bird flu has not and will never be eradicated - it's like saying human flu will be - whatever gave you that impression ?

Brid flu will eventually reach Ireland. Only a matter of time. That's not a major concern in itself though - the issue only becomes one to worry about when humans catch it. Even then it's no huge deal. It's when the human to human transmission of bird flu begins that you need to start worrying. This has not happened yet to anyones knowledge - all human cases of bird flu have been from direct contact with birds. And even though the mortality rates look high, its probably as a result of people with advanced symptoms presenting themselves. - there have probablyt been a lot of people in Asia who've had it, didn't report it, and have recovered.

Tamiflu will likely do nothing for you. I'd also question where you sourced it. If you bought it off Ebay it's likely to be fake, in which case it'll either do absolutely nothing or it will do you harm.

You need to do a lot more reading on this subject and stop worrying about something that a). is an unknown factor and probably unlikely to happen to you and b). if it does happen, there'll be very little you can do about it.
