Playing pairs vs Raiser OOP

I feel I played both of these hands very weak and proba bly should have folded earlier in both hands.

Should I be set mining (check/folding if I miss), raising the flop to test if he has AK or else floating a blank turn?

Villains in hand 1 is 15/8/2.5 over 60 hands, seems solid

    Hand 2

Villan here is 21/15/1.3 , solid and I got the impression he would check behind on the turn if he had AK. Is my lead on the turn teribble?

you played the first hand fine. vs a normal tag I would 4 bet and call a shove though, considering its BVB

in the second hand I dont really like the turn lead, if you think he checks behindAK then just check yourself.

I dunno how much it's gonna matter exactly that it's BVB considering the guy is 15/8. Anyone who is clued into position raising isn't gonna have those stats in the first place. I'm only giving him a 99+, AQ+ range. We're 50/50 versus that range but I think if we 4bet and the money goes in we're going in as an underdog.

Second hand I usually just lead or c/f on the flop. Don't like the turn lead.

1: Have you raised his blind recently? Re-raise pf if you have...Otherwise i check-raise flop or fold. Call-check-call-check is like asking to be pushed off the pot.

2: Check-raise flop >>> leading blank turn - both cost the same

Calling flop and leading blank turn is an odd line to me...

You haven't put either of you're opponent to any tough decisions by playing so passively and you haven't given yourself a chance to win the pot...

    OOP sucks.

it was the first time I've raised my SB since I normally just complete with AJ , AT type hands.

grey_abbey, checkraising flop sounds like best option. If he calls we can assume we are beaten I guess..

Hand 1 against someone like that I think your line is fine. Dont really like Valors advice about 4betting and callign a shove against a regualr tag. When we do that we're essentially turning JJ into a bluff as a TAGs range for 5 betting is going to be QQ+ and AK which has us crushed.

Hand 2 I'd bet fold the flop or sometimes check call and check fold the turn

Whoah plug that leak. I don't think you should ever complete in the SB. AT is an easy raise.

    Hand 1 is fine

Hand 2 I usually either c/c flop, c/f turn, or bet/fold flop with no other reads on opponent. I think c/r flop is bad, because you turn a hand w/ SD value into a bluff v a passive opponent. You would be better off c/r total air on the flop than 66
