I have recently bought a 01 Citroen C5 and after much problems, timing belt not done properly, tappits had to be replaced I was finally a happy bunny...
Til today when I noticed a lot of noise, especially at speed.
I popped out under the car to find that a jagged piece of plastic was jutting down below the front bumper.
I followed it back and it seems this piece of plastic goes from inside the driver side wheel arch along the inside of the bumper, beneath the engine, to cover the inside of the other wheel arch on the front passenger side.
Anyone know what this is called?
And can anyone reccomend where I might get a cheap one?
I know I can get it at the main dealer but I wince imagining the cost, I could fit it myself, no probs, just a few screws.
    So any suggestions?

    Not Your Ornery Onager

Any chance this was removed and not replaced properly when you had the engine work done? If so, the garage or mechanic should be responsible for fixing it.

    "wheelarch liner" ?

You might be able to repair the one you have, if your mechanic won't help as Esel said.

I'd plump for 'wheelarch liner' too.

An alternative would be to check out the breaker's yards for one that wasn't crashed on that corner.

Its probably the sump cover, does it cover the bottom of the engine ? Is it cracked? I've found alot of Indy mechanics don't bother reattaching these bits properly, only use a few screws to re-attach it as their a pain to get back on, happens on alot of cars, especially VAG. You can remove it temporarily. Try a scrappies like traynors or big seanies.

Other than that i'd say bring it back and ask him to put it on the way he found it in the first place.

    Specialist Citroen breakers on ebay?

Has it ever happened that a garage has stood over consequencial problems? My leaky rear diff is having to go for another set of seals after 4k...
