I want to deal at the world series

So I was in vegas at weekend and thought of nice it would be to spend the summer here and came up with the idea of dealing in the world series.
I think it would be a rather cool experience but trying to figure out how to go about it
Now, I know they have a lot of lot of trouble getting dealers and a lot of them are useless so I think there could be openings. I have dealt various big tournaments within Ireland anyway so have a decent amount of experience.

I have gotten 2 working visas for the US, on my 2nd one now so getting another one next year shouldn't cause me any problems as well.
But I have no idea who to contact about it or how likely or unlikely it is that they would consider it.

So any thoughts on my plan, is it good/bad/plain crazy and anyone have an idea of who a good person/e-mail address would be to contact for this.
    Cheers

Dealing in the WSOp would be my absolute worst nightmare. Worse than walking up O'Connell Street naked.

O'Connell St Limerick or O'Connell St Dublin ?

I would not want to work for Harrah's at the WSOP. Get a dealing job at a different off-strip casino instead, they will be short of staff at WSOP time too.

It's been done in Limerick twice actually.

    :):)

At least it would stop you getting mugged in Dublin (well I would hope so anyway).

I'd rather deal a different casino that offers decent cash tables, you will make far more this way.
As for your working Visa, J1 I imagine, it doesn't allow you to work in certain industrys. For example you can't become a LV stripper, dealing may or may not in listed also.

I don't know where you get that from, Mellor. I'm pretty sure you can be a stripper or a dealer, but not a nanny or a door to door salesperson.

I don't know if dealer is included, possibly isn't. but we has a J1 introduction and they said that you can't work in Vegas as a stripper or a hooker.
As for a dealer, you'd have to have register with the Gaming Commision. Would they accept a non citizen?

well they were probably joking. You can't legally work as a hooker in Vegas even if you are an American anyway.

You probably do have to register with someone to be allowed deal in Nevada, but I expect it is relatively easy given how many temporary dealers they get. I suggest you ask in the B+M forum on 2+2 as there are lots of dealers who post there.

Ok cheers guys. It's by no means a definate, just something I am thinking about.
Shall post on the B+M forum and see what they say.

Well not in Vegas, Carson or Reno, but its legal in rest of the state, or most of anyway. Thats off the track anyway.

cooker, check out The gaming commision website
I had a quick look, nationaility isn't restricted, but I didn't see if citizenship was required.

I would be looking towards Mandalay Bay, the cocktail girls were just stunning, every single 1 of them!

generally you can't deal on the strip without a good bit of experience, that is why I recommended trying an off strip place.

I'm pretty sure you have to complete a course in the Dealer's College in Vegas before even being considered for a job.
