Im in the process of buying a 2002 Audi 147, but to say i have no clue about cars is putting it mildly! i obviously need someone to check it out can i bring it to a garage? or do i need someone to come with me to the dealership?

Don't worry about a dealership, but if you can arrange to meet the seller near a local mechanic, they'll be able to stick it up on the ramp and have a good look at it. It could be awkward arranging a time and place that will facilitate that though.
