    Question

How do I insert the image so it appears in the post as opposed to an attachment?

    Thanks

you can upload it to imageshack (www.imageshack.us) and link to it using the image insert button in the reply screen.

Did you process this photograph at all, and if so, what did you do to it? I like the black and white contrast on it. Compositionally though I think there is a little too much sky and some of the clouds are a little burnt.

Thanks for the tips guys when I get a chance I will upload it to one of those sites.

Calina thanks for your comments. Processing was only minimal and done with microsfot picture manager to crop and change colour to B&W.

I have yet to get an image processing software. Whats recommended for a complete noob like me? Is photoshop elements the way to go? Or should I just make do with the software that comes with the camera.

Any other comments also appreciated! I guess the only way to learn is to hear what others who know more have to say!

    Thanks guys and gals!

There's a couple of options on this front. I use Elements (v2.0!) and find it great. The latest version though is about 100 notes, so not the cheapest option. Full PS is certainly the right job, but it costs more than the camera did!!

The other option is to try the GIMP (www.gimp.org). It's free open-source software. I've only used it a little bit, but it looks like it has a lot of the features you'll want.

Photoshop Elements 5.0 is very good software. I use it and ACDSee Pro.
