Sonic DS

    Cracking game, good solid platforming with speed and some stupidly hard levels thrown in too to make it fun.

    Level times are grand under 5 minutes per level if you complete it, easy to replay any level and the boating parts actually mkae good use of the stylus.


    Well worth checking out.

    Two things make me not enjoy this game as I should. The amount of bottomless pits which give you instant death, and the length of the boss battles.

    Shame as it's great apart from that.

    Loved the first one, would you say this is better??? and is it true that the only sonic character who wasn't annoying as hell (blaze) is gone??

    Bought the girlfriend a DS recently so definitely going to pick this up. Any other game recommendations for the DS? I generally don't like any of the Nintendo franchises (I really didn't like Super Mario Sunshine or Metroid Prime on the Cube) but anything else is welcome.

    didnt like sonic, wanted to but jumpin from one screen to another got annoying. still weird for sonic to be on a nintendo machine. kind of goes against nature.
    addicted to puzzle quest. its really a rip off of bejewelled but its damn addictive.

    You should get New Super Mario Bros. It's better than any sonic game. You might have some negate (misguided) feelings about nintendo franchises but it would take some one without a soul to not enjoy NSMB.

    Advance Wars is another must have and if you can find it Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

    The Mrs. also got a DS Lite recently (courtesy of Tesco ;) ) She likes 3D platformers (along the lines of Daxter on the PSP). Is there anything similar on the DS?? She got Super Mario 64 but has yet to learn to like it...

    Probably three of the best DS games. I agree with what you said about NSMB. No DS should be without that game.
